It is an annual festival under the custodianship of the Anonyete Royal Clan, one of the fourteen clans of Igarra and widely regarded as one of the most prominent and influential among them. The festival is more than a cultural event, INYAMA is a living expression of faith, identity, history, and survival woven together into one sacred tradition. The festival derives its name from the Inyama Deity of the Anonyete Clan.
