In a dramatic turn of events today, the Etuno Youth Movement (EYM) has finally uncovered the syndicate responsible for the persistent vandalism of community transformers and household properties across Igarra . For years, residents have lived in fear as unknown criminals repeatedly struck in broad daylight and at night cutting transformer cables, vandalizing transformer components plunging parts of the Community into darkness, forcing struggling families in such affected areas on several occasions to contribute millions for replacements before they can have access to light again. Homes on the outskirts were not spared either; aluminum windows, doors, copper electrical wiring, solar panels, and other valuables regularly disappeared without a trace. Despite long-standing suspicions, the culprits always managed to slip through the cracks until today.   THE Governor of Edo State, Sen Monday Okpebholo on Thursday sacked two traditional rulers: the Olososo of Ososo, Bamidele Obaitan and the ruler of Ikpeshii/Egbegere Clans ,Zaiki Luckman Odamah III both in Akoko-Edo local government area. A statement by the Secretary to State Government, Umar Musa Ikhlor. said the governor revoked the appointments of both traditional rulers in the interest of peace and stability of the communities after reviewing the circumstances surrounding ongoing disputes relating to the traditional leadership of the communities. The statement said the governor approved the appointment of Mr. Nicholas Odamah as the Regent of the Ikpeshi/Egbegere Clan while elders of the four quarters (Unukhus), the Council of Chiefs, and the Elders of Ososo were directed to meet, consult and submit a consensus candidate for appointment to the vacant stool of the headship of Osoao. The Class of 2025/2026 Training Session matriculates today. 100 slots available to be trained for FREE for the 2025/2026 Session. 82 Students Matriculates. Hopefully come May 2026 the center will be graduating the 82 students that Matriculated today. Spokesman for the Community Learning Center Mr Simon Onyanna disclosed this during the ceremony that attracted guest and community stakeholders. on heaing from the students especially the Enwan group who were too excited to be amongst the trainers. They commended the efforts of thier Tutors and also promised to spread the good news to their community youths so they can also maximise such golden opportunuity to be self-reliant.  God bless the trainers! The Community Learning Centre was commissioned on the 27th of March 2017 by Prof. Abba Abubakar, The then executive Secretary, National Commission for Mass Literacy and Adult Education. The center was facilitated by an illustrious son of the soil Dr. John Edeh, who influenced and facilitated the establishment of this institution, meant for the whole of South South Nigeria to our dear local government . The center is supposed to be a citadel for learning and acquiring skills for free. This was initially been fulfilled at the beginning until it encountered some setbacks due to lack of funding. most of the tutors were discouraged and they stopped coming. without tutor's students soon gave up and stopped coming too.
